Rodimus

Description

Rodimus is a multi axis precision stabilised panoramic electro-optical director designed for armoured vehicles. It is designed as a modular but integrated system with a cooled MWIR / LWIR thermal imager, low light HD CCD / CMOS camera, laser range finder for surveillance, reconnaissance and target acquisition.

With inbuilt electronics unit it enables easy installation and maintenance on all platforms. With full 360° rotation it provides early threat detection for armoured fighting vehicles (AFVs) and main battle tanks (MBTs).

The cooled thermal imager with continuous optical zoom provides increased situational awareness, can see long range in poor illumination and poor weather conditions. Low lux CCD/CMOS sensor is optically aligned and matched with IR imager to enable sensor fusion improving target detection and acquisition capability and LRF with high repetition rate is safe under all conditions provides accurate ranging.

With an integrated video target tracker it enables engagement of targets while on the move, both day and night and under poor visibility conditions.
