Uncooled Thermal Imaging

Featuring a resistive Amorphous Silicon micro bolometer array on a 17 micron pitch and supporting QVGA, VGA and XGA resolutions, Tonbo’s uncooled thermal imaging technology offers shutterless thermal imaging for military, security, aviation and marine safety applications at cost-effective prices.

Cooled Thermal Imaging

Tonbo’s cooled thermal imagers feature ultra high sensitive detectors in a compact package meeting the tightest SwAP requirements. Image processing functions include 2-point non-uniformity correction (NUC), in-field 1-point NUC, bad pixel replacement (BPR) and sophisticated gain control algorithms.

Shutterless Thermal Imaging

Non-uniformity typically manifests itself as FPN (fixed pattern noise) in a thermal imager and typically requires a physical motor and a shutter for correction. The shutter is not only a nuisance as it not only freezes the camera output momentarily but also is the first point of failure in the system because of shock and vibration and moving elements. Tonbo employs imaging techniques to correct for this noise and builds all its thermal imagers cooled and uncooled with no shutter at all.

Panoramic Imaging

Distributed aperture imaging supporting both wide field of view and long range for applications requiring constant staring. Continuously rotating imagers for long range 360 degree imaging

Real-Time Video Processing

Real-time video processing designed for platforms with limited real estate and
computational resources. Capable of ingesting video feeds from analog sources and performs real-time electronic image stabilization, multi-sensor fusion and target tracking on HD and SD videos. Optimized to work in real time with day camera or IR camera video feeds.

Multi-Sensor Fusion

Tonbo’s sensor fusion technology combines complementary information from multiple sensors into a single superior video feed. The fused feed maximizes scene detail and contrast providing superior video quality with maximized information content
