ATMUS (Atlas IRST, Rodimus and the C2 system) is an ideal solution for border and coastal surveillance, missile tracking, civilian aircraft monitoring, protection of military and civil assets from aerial/surface threats. The ATMUS system comprises of the following:
- Atlas: A high sensitivity multi-sensor FOG-stabilized IRST for surface and aerial surveillance and recon
- Rodimus: Multi-axis, dual-sensor FOG-stabilized fire control system to acquire the targets passed on by Atlas and engage to eliminate
- C2: For command and control of Atlas and Rodimus, panoramic video streaming, recording and simultaneous notification and threat-level based alarm to connected systems.
Detecting opponents without being detected is an important tenet of modern warfare and Atlas IRST does this by staying completely passive and providing a sharp ubiquitous eye to locate both surface and airborne targets.

With its 360 degree fully staring image sensors, Atlas IRST has the capability to search, detect, classify, acquire and track multiple targets -surface-to-surface missiles, armored modular vehicles, unmanned and autonomous vehicles, aerial targets, gliding bombs, small target above and around the vehicle such as jet skis, drones etc. in all weather and lighting conditions.
Radar-based solutions are vulnerable to jamming and flashlight their presence when scouting for targets. When a potential threat is picked on radar, lack of visual confirmation makes it difficult to differentiate friend from foe for timely decision to engage or deflect.
Atlas, a fully passive EOIRST, has inbuilt light beam stabilizer to capture images without any blur while the system rotates constantly at high speeds. Captured images are stitched seamlessly providing identical scene coverage over multiple scans. Real-time and low latency stitching provides instantaneous threat detection and identification, allowing a substantial initial advantage in the OODA loop.
With state-of-the-art deep learning engine and a substantial database of target classes, Atlas can also crosscheck real-time imagery and classify targets into vehicles, pedestrians, tanks, UAVs, missiles, helicopters, civilian and fighter aircraft’s, etc. The system is capable of classification despite overlapping paths of multiple objects in view, ensuring there are no false alarms and crucial decisions can be made real-time.
Atlas provides a stable and clear view of the targets at all time and is capable of automatically transferring the classified targets to a fire control system, like Tonbo’s state-of-the-art Rodimus FCS or radar for interception, threat-level based alarm or notification to multiple users and further engagement.
Rodimus is a multi-axis FOG stabilized fire control system with a cooled MWIR thermal imager, low light CMOS camera, laser range finder to acquire and eliminate threats. It also features inbuilt electronics for easy installation to all gun platforms. With full 360°rotation it provides early threat detection, allowing maximum decision-making time to armored fighting vehicles (AFVs) and mainbattle tanks (MBTs).
