Stratos

Description

Stratos is special test equipment that can be used to help remove moisture content and other impurities within the air inside the Tonbo Imaging electro optics. By removing the moisture inside the units we can protect the internals of the equipment, specifically the electronics, from being damaged by excessive moisture formation at lower ambient temperatures. Further it protects the lenses and detectors from misting.

Stratos utilizes the single point purging method; where the purging is carried out through only a single access point on the unit. This purging method involves carrying out multiple pressurisation and de-pressurization cycles in order to increase the purity of the nitrogen air and decrease the moisture content within the unit.

Stratos requires minimal setup, with the main factor being dry nitrogen air at 5-30psi (below -60°C dewpoint temperature for more effective purging) and a minimal power source of 12VDC and 2A. The Purging Kit runs automatically and requires minimal user input. Stratos has a built-in pressure sensor which monitors the air pressure within the unit that is getting purged. Further the Kit has an inbuilt pressure regulator and relief valve system to ensure that excessive pressure does not ever reach and damage the unit.

Stratos is ideal for on-site and field service applications due to its portable form, easy to use interface and minimal setup.
